Junior Cricket Weekend Wrap 🏏🔴🔵
Under 16s vs Sandy Creek
A strong start to the season with an impressive batting performance, finishing 10/247. The highlight of the night was an absolutely explosive innings from Archie Matthews, smashing 106 off just 31 balls, including 14 sixes and 4 fours. A brilliant display of power hitting and confidence at the crease.
A total of 247 sets the Under 16s up beautifully heading into next week’s bowling innings.
Under 12s vs Gilbert Valley
A fantastic way to kick off their season with a win 🔴🔵
This week’s awards went to Charlie and Kyden. Charlie delivered an outstanding bowling spell, 2 overs, 3 runs, 3 wickets, a huge effort in his first game for Willaston.
With the bat, Aidan top‑scored with 16 runs, and several players retired, showing great teamwork and patience. Kyden retired not out in his first ever cricket game, an awesome achievement and a confidence booster for the season ahead.
Well done to all our Under 12s, a brilliant start and plenty to be proud of. ...
