We’re absolutely thrilled to share that the Town of Gawler has secured a grant through the SA Football Facilities Fund to support the Elliott Goodger Memorial Park redevelopment 🙌
This is a huge step forward in bringing progressive and inclusive facilities for the entire Willaston community — and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead!

The Town of Gawler is proud to be part of the AFL Gather Round legacy, securing funding through the South Australian Football Facilities Fund to support the development of new facilities at Willaston Football Club.
This investment is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s about strengthening the heart of our community. From new changerooms and medical spaces to improved social and gameday facilities, the upgraded Willaston site will create a welcoming, inclusive hub where players, families and supporters can come together.
In country towns, sporting clubs are more than just places to play, they are where friendships are formed, stories are shared and communities thrive. This funding ensures our local clubs continue to grow, connect and support future generations.
With the Barossa Light & Gawler Football and Netball Association season kicking off this weekend, there’s a real sense of excitement in the air.
