WASHOUT!
Unfortunately, the weather had the final say this weekend, with all three Donnybrook sides washed out!
A1 – Willaston v Angaston
After a strong bowling performance last Saturday, the A1 boys had put themselves in a good position, dismissing Angaston for 172.
Travis McIntyre led the way with an outstanding 5/48, well supported by Mitch McIver with 3/57 and Johnny Ritzema claiming 2/24.
Resuming at 1/45 this Saturday, the Donnys managed a brief stint at the crease before the rain arrived, moving to 1/60.
Dyl McIver finished unbeaten on 36, alongside Mitch McIver on 22, before play was abandoned and the match declared a draw.
A disappointing finish after putting ourselves in a promising position!
A3 – Willaston v Truro
Unfortunately, no play was possible at Willaston, with the match washed out without a ball being bowled.
A4 – Willaston v Sandy Creek
The A4 boys also fell victim to the weather at Williamstown, with no play possible as they continue their search for their first win of the season.
Not the weekend of cricket we were hoping for, but hopefully the sun makes an appearance next Saturday and we can get back out there!

TEAM SELECTIONS
Another big weekend of cricket ahead for the Donnybrooks, with all sides hoping the weather plays its part!
A1 – Willaston v Angaston
Our A1 boys return to Angaston for day two, with the home side posting 172 last Saturday. The Donnys will resume at 1/45, needing another 128 runs for victory, with Dyl McIver (24*) and Mitch McIver (19*) at the crease.
A3 – Willaston v Truro
📍 Willaston Oval | Saturday 1pm
Thommo and the A3 boys are back on home turf, looking for a strong performance against Truro.
A4 – Willaston v Sandy Creek
📍 Williamstown | Saturday 1pm
Our A4 boys head to Williamstown to take on Sandy Creek, chasing their first win of the season!
With showers and possible thunderstorms forecast for Saturday, fingers crossed the rain stays away and we get plenty of cricket in!
