Willaston Cricket Club

Our Creed

willaston-sporting-club-cricket-gawler-donny-brooks

Players, members, supporters, families, and volunteers of the Willaston Cricket Club embrace the “Donnybrook Spirit“, which has been passed down to us since 1889 when we were founded by the local clay-pit workers of Willaston.

The strong club history is instilled within us as we all collectively strive for success.

To achieve this, we acknowledge…

  • Donnybrooks Spirit is to demonstrate a “one in, all in” attitude, portrayed through courage, strength and determination.
  • Donnybrook Spirit is expressed through being honest to yourself and your teammates in all aspects of the cricket club.

It is a privilege to wear the Donnybrook emblem, as you embrace the feeling of great strength & courage to play with a never give in attitude.

Always respect yourself, teammates, club members and the opposition.

When talent fails, hard work always prevails.

Team and club success outweigh individual success.

Ensure the club is in a better position than when you arrived.

Demonstrate high morals and excellence, both on and off the field.

We do this together as players, supporters and members – One In – All In.
Success is measured in premierships and achieved as One.

Want to Get Involved

We love seeing opportunities grow for young girls in our region, and this new academy is a massive step forward. The Northern Districts Cricket Club - Jets are creating a pathway that shows exactly what’s possible in women’s cricket, and we couldn’t be more excited to support it.

If you know a young girl who loves the game, this is a brilliant chance to help her take the next step.

📧 ndjetswomens@gmail.comThe Northern Districts Cricket Club are proud to launch the Darcie Brown & Tegan McPharlin Junior Girls Cricket Academy for the 2026/27 season 🏏

Named in recognition of two of the club’s finest female cricketers, the academy celebrates the pathways possible through our club and the opportunities women’s cricket continues to create.

Darcie and Tegan both began their journeys at the Jets before progressing to higher honours, and we’re excited to help inspire the next generation of young girls to follow their own cricket journey.

Women’s cricket continues to grow stronger every year, and the Jets are proud to continue investing in female cricket across all levels of our club
