Coaching Announcement!

We are excited to announce our next two coaches locked in for the 2026 season!

Richard Andrews – Senior Three Coach
We are delighted to welcome Richard to Willaston for the upcoming season. Stepping into our in-form Senior 3 side, he has already shown how well he fits within our club values and culture. With a rich history of coaching, which includes recent experience within the BLGNA, Richard will bring fresh ideas, deep game knowledge, and valuable insight that will place our Senior 3 group in a strong position to hopefully take the final steps in their success story. We look forward to seeing what this new addition brings to the team!

Ange Edwards – Senior Four Coach
Ange is a true veteran of our club (in all the best ways!) and will continue leading our Senior 4 team into 2026. Her consistency, commitment, and recent taste of Premiership success has her hungry for more and we absolutely love that energy! As the current benchmark across our senior sides, this team is poised for another big year. No pressure, Ange… but back-to-back would look pretty great on our walls 😜
We fully believe in you and the team driving this group forward.

Well done to our Senior 3 and 4 squad, who have just completed trials. Team selections are now being finalised, and we can already feel that 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for you all.

Let’s keep chasing Donnybrook Domination in 2026! 💪

Coaching Announcement!

We are thrilled to announce our first two coaches locked in for the 2026 season!

Damian Gower – Senior One Coach
Damian brings a long and successful history of coaching across both senior and junior grades. Most recently, he led our Senior 2s to a grand final and has spent the past two years working closely with our top squad. His understanding of our club’s direction, paired with his ability to get the best out of his players, makes him the perfect fit for the role. Damian and his family have been part of the Willaston community for many years, and we’re excited to see him step confidently into the top job and make things happen!

Jess Earle – Senior Two Coach
Jess is a Life Member of our club and brings a genuine passion for coaching and player development. She has held several coaching roles over the years, including coaching Senior Ones in 2022. More recently, she rediscovered her love for the game while leading our Senior 5s through multiple finals campaigns. After stepping in mid-year to assist with Senior One trainings, we are delighted that Jess has committed to coaching our Senior Two team for 2026, as well as supporting across the squad where needed.

Together, Damian and Jess form a coaching duo we believe will be a force to be reckoned with. Our playing group can look forward to a fresh, committed, and exciting season ahead.

There’s plenty more to come, so keep your eyes on this space as we roll out updates for our top sides.

Trials begin this Sunday, 30th November at 9:30am.
If you haven’t registered yet, now is the perfect time to join the Willaston Donnybrooks.

Club Committee for 2026

Thank you to all our members who attended our AGM last week. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, with so many people keen to be involved in the future of our club.

We’re pleased to welcome our new committee members for 2026: Nat Hill, Emma Smith, Danni Gower, Kylie Martin, and Alex Vickers. We’re excited to have you on board and look forward to the fresh ideas and energy you’ll bring.

We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our departing committee members: Kiara, Nikki, Jas, and Sarah for everything you have contributed throughout your time in these roles. Your commitment, time, and efforts have been truly appreciated.

We would like to take this moment to share a special recognition to Kiara, our departing President, who has led the club for the past three seasons. Steering a club like Willaston takes an enormous amount of dedication, and you have done it with professionalism, passion, and incredible selflessness. The success of the 2025 season alone is a testament to your leadership and has set us on a strong path for continued success across all grades.

Thank you, Kiara!
We hope you enjoy a well-earned break, and we can’t wait to see you out on court again ❤️💙
